PASSOVER CRAFTS!

Afikomen bag
  • Materials:
      A piece of fabric 45 cms by 45 cms (18 inches by 18 inches)
      Felt pen
      needle and thread
      fabric paints or felt pens
      scissors
  • Instructions:
      1. Draw a large square or circle with a magic marker or colored chalk onto the fabric. Make it big enough so that the Afikomen (a piece of matzah) can fit inside!
      2. Cut the fabric on the line with your scissors.
      3. Fold the fabric in half, so that it is inside out.
      4. Sew the seam all away round the side and bottom- leave the top open!
      5. Pull the bag right-side-out! Now you can decorate it!
      6. Decorate your Afikomen Bag using fabric paints, felt pens, and anything else you want!


  • Kos Shel Eliyahu
  • Materials:
      A plastic cup
      Passover pictures
      glue or tape
      fabric paint
      permanent markers
      anything you want to use to decorate your Kos Shel Eliyahu with- fabric, pompoms, etc
  • Instructions:
      1. Plan how you want to decorate your Kos Shel Eliyahu.
      2. Use the glue, tape, pictures, and your other materials to decorate.
      3. At the Seder, fill the Kos Shel Eliyahu with wine or grape juice, and leave it out over night for Eliyahu to find when he visits your home!


  • Reclining pillow case
  • Materials:
      A pillow cover
      Acrylic Paint
      sponges, paintbrushes
      fabric paint
      permanent markers
  • Instructions:
      1. Plan how you want to decorate your pillow for the Seder.
      2. Use the acrylic paint with the sponges and paintbrushes, and the fabric paint and permanent markers, to decorate.
      3. When your pillow cover is dry, stuff with a pillow.
      4. At the Seder, use your pillow to recline while you drink the 4 Cups and eat your meal- it's part of Passover tradition!
