When Reyna's father Yehuda, a successful trader, becomes unwittingly involved in a bad business deal, Reyna's intuition leads her and her new friend Jin into a daring rescue attempt in the desert, hundreds of miles away from home. Through this adventure, Reyna rediscovers herself, the blessings of a mother she never knew, and the true meaning of being Jewish.
